Kevin O’Neil

Chief Visionary Officer

Kevin O’Neil brings a broad entrepreneurial perspective shaped by real estate development, private investment, and emerging technology. In 2016, he launched Catalyst Campus for Technology & Innovation in downtown Colorado Springs, CO, helping drive economic growth and innovation in the region. He also founded O|NE Funds, a private equity firm that partnered with the State of Colorado to attract Department of Defense–aligned companies, raising $34 million to support those efforts. His vision continues to guide O|NE La Plata toward bold, future-focused opportunities.

B. Douglas Quimby

Chief Executive Officer

B. Douglas Quimby brings decades of leadership experience across real estate development, law, and organizational governance. He served as CEO of La Plata Communities from 2007 until the formation of O|NE La Plata, following earlier roles as COO and outside legal counsel. Doug has also held senior leadership and board positions across professional sports, higher education, and regional economic development organizations. A long-standing member of the Urban Land Institute, he leads with a steady focus on collaboration, stewardship, and long-term value.

Michael G. Ruebenson

President

Michael G. Ruebenson joined La Plata Communities in 2005 and has served in senior leadership roles including CFO, COO, and President. His background spans public accounting, semiconductor manufacturing, commercial construction, and publicly traded medical device companies. Mike is a co-founder and board member of Careers in Construction Colorado and has held leadership roles with the Housing & Building Association of Colorado Springs. His financial and operational leadership anchors O|NE La Plata’s long-term stability.

Donald B. Gravette

Chief Operating Officer

Donald B. Gravette brings nearly five decades of real estate experience spanning condominium construction, self-storage, master planning, and commercial development. Since joining La Plata Communities in 2015, Don has worked closely with corporate leadership and development teams while overseeing metropolitan district management and commercial real estate initiatives. His depth of experience supports disciplined execution across O|NE La Plata’s growing portfolio.

Guy Childs

Chief Financial Officer

Guy Childs has served as CFO of La Plata Communities since 2016, bringing extensive experience in financial leadership and corporate growth. Previously, he spent 13 years as CFO of a publicly held company through its successful acquisition. His early career included auditing across healthcare, manufacturing, and financial services. Guy also contributes to the community through board service with regional economic development and nonprofit organizations supporting families in need.

Cody Humphrey

Planning Division President

Cody Humphrey leads the vision and design of O|NE La Plata’s master-planned communities and development projects. With more than 25 years of experience, his work spans national and international planning and landscape architecture. Cody joined La Plata Communities in 2016 after leading post-flood housing recovery efforts in Lyons, CO. He holds degrees from Ball State University and the University of Colorado, and remains actively involved in regional planning, housing, and civic organizations.

Eric Smith, PE

Engineering Services Division President

Eric Smith is a civil engineering leader with more than 30 years of experience delivering complex public and private infrastructure projects. At O|NE La Plata, he oversees all aspects of site development, from planning through construction, with deep expertise in P3s and municipal funding. Eric recently led the successful completion of TrueNorth Commons in Colorado Springs, CO. A licensed Professional Engineer, he also serves in civic and nonprofit leadership roles across the region.

Julie Brooks

Commercial Property Management Division President

Julie Brooks brings more than 20 years of experience overseeing commercial and residential properties. Known for strategic leadership and operational clarity, she has guided property portfolios through growth, repositioning, and long-term stewardship. Under O|NE La Plata’s integrated platform, Julie leads a seamless connection between development and ongoing management—streamlining operations, accelerating timelines, and delivering sustainable, high-performing commercial environments

Jordan Montoya

Vertical Construction Division President

Jordan Montoya leads vertical construction efforts across O|NE La Plata’s portfolio. Since beginning his construction career in 2014, he has worked on a wide range of projects including schools, multifamily communities, secure facilities, restaurants, and commercial developments. Jordan holds a Class A contractor’s license and remains actively engaged with the Housing & Building Association of Colorado Springs, ensuring projects meet evolving standards and expectations.

Ryan Ruebenson

Director of Development

Ryan Ruebenson is Director of Development at O|NE La Plata, where he supports the planning, entitlement, and delivery of residential and mixed-use projects across the region. Ryan works closely with internal teams, builders, consultants, and municipalities to coordinate infrastructure, manage development schedules, and keep projects moving forward. As part of O|NE La Plata’s next generation of leadership, he contributes to both day-to-day execution and long-term planning in support of well-planned, enduring communities.
